WELLCOME TO THE STATIC BONELAB MOD PAGE.
STATIC is a BONELAB mod that I’ve been developing in my free time since May 2024. It started as a small experimental project, but over time it’s grown into something much larger a personal passion project that lets me bring together my skills in level design, music composition, and environmental storytelling.
I’ve poured a lot of myself into STATIC. Every level, puzzle, and music cue is an extension of the creative vision I have for the project, and I’m constantly experimenting with new ideas to push my definition of what’s possible in BONELAB modding. The project has challenged me to learn new tools, think more critically about game flow and pacing, and stay committed to a long-term creative vision.
While the mod is still in development and has a lot of pitfalls, it already reflects months of iteration, learning, and love for immersive design. STATIC is more than just a mod to me it’s the kind of experience I’ve always wanted to build, and I’m excited to keep pushing it forward.
About the mod
Step into the boots of Stetson, a maintenance worker in a city simulation that is spiraling into chaos. What begins as routine cleanup turns into a fight for STATIC as the truth distorts, hostile groups show their face, and Ascended Void Matter threatens to desync time, severing Stetsons connection to his physical body, which would leave him trapped in STATIC.
Explore a vast, interconnected city full of industrial zones, chasms, arcades, and forgotten ruins.
Solve environmental puzzles involving keycards, pressure valves, and mysterious energy systems.
Battle enemies using melee and ranged combat, with dynamic encounters and environmental takedowns.
Uncover a layered narrative through voice logs (VARIMEMO’s), time distortion (in specific cases), and hidden recordings. All left behind by those who lived (and died) inside the simulation.
Experience an adaptive soundtrack featuring orchestral, synth, and unique hybrid music tied to every environment and moment.


LORE: What is the city of STATIC?
STATIC was created to supplement the delays caused by Arthur Ford’s actions in MYTHOS City and BONEWORKS.
Word about Arthur Ford’s actions have gone out to certain organizations, and rather than wait for safety audits, AI checks, and external inspection reports, Monogon partnered with Varia Communications to fork the MYTHOS City project and build STATIC, a cyberpunk style city on top of MYTHOS. It reached mass adoption reaching over 1 million daily active users.
STATIC was designed to be a fully networked simulation where all systems could be tested by users, deployed, and manipulated away from MYTHOS CITY. STATIC is entirely artificial. Its citizens are the Users, it’s infrastructure run by nullbodies and workers paid real wages, and its clocks synced by internal VoidNet reference points.
